Description We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team within the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. The position is located in Orlando, Florida, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for supervising daily cash transactions, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing general ledger reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise day-to-day cash transactions and reconciliation with the patient accounting system

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

• Perform month-end closing and financial reporting process, including account analysis and reconciliation

• Prepare financial information in accordance with GAAP and provide budget vs. actual analysis

• Ensure compliance of internal controls and policies and train staff on internal control procedures when necessary

• Review and prepare monthly financial statements and closing process with the CFO

• Review periodic financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Maintain mechanisms to prevent inaccuracies in accounting statements

• Assist in the process of establishing and monitoring the annual budget

• Assist CFO with weekly revenue cycle meeting agenda and reporting

• Provide support to department managers and represent finance at the managers' meeting

• Identify, investigate, and analyze potential financial improvements and propose changes in policy, procedures, and processes

• Assist in the preparation of the annual audit file for the company

• Prepare routine financial reports and ad-hoc reports as needed. Requirements • Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Mastery of General Ledger management

• Skills in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Capability to handle Month End Close operations

• Expertise in using NetSuite for accounting operations

• Familiarity with Oracle for managing accounts

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

• Experience in using SAP for accounting operations

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Prior experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of current accounting regulations and standards

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
