Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teamsassess the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. Theydesign, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop, and document methods for establishing the reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Our teams develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They oversee policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, products, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication.

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment – a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and harsh environments. These interconnect solutions make possible applications like avionics, jet engine management, flight controls, grounding systems and harness assemblies, in-flight entertainment (IFE) and cabin systems for today's "connected aircraft". Vertical markets served include commercial and military aviation, space, military ground vehicles, unmanned/drone vehicles, as well as marine offshore oil and gas (MOG) development. TE offers solutions for enhanced connectivity in extreme environments, from the deepest oceans, to deep space exploration. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach local team to ensure maximum team performance of direct and indirect employees

  • Lead and oversee the deployment and execution of Quality Policies, KPI targets, goals, and quality initiatives

  • Have the capacity to lead and influence at all levels

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System across the site covering ISO9001 and AS9100 that meets all customer, statutory and regulatory requirements, which includes a strong internal and external audit program

  • Coordinate with Plant Quality Manager to discuss and resolve product quality issues raised by customers

  • Drive and engage cross functional teams to conduct root cause analysis on both internal and external quality issues and formulate resolutions in a timely manner; and to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of actions and prevent problems from reoccurring

  • Maintain a statistically stable measurement system for product and laboratory testing in accordance within industry standards

  • Provide training and leadership in the application of statistical methods and quality tools throughout the business

  • Principle resource for quality methods, statistical processes and quality control

  • Promote and Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the quality Organization for proactive tools such Lean (TEOA), Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

  • Identify gaps and opportunities and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization

  • Positively convey quality philosophy to customers

What your background should look like:

  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S. or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee

  • 8 or more years of experience in a Quality & Reliability Engineering role in a manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business

  • Experience working in Aerospace, Defense and/or military industries

  • Track record of developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers

  • Technical Problem-Solving capabilities required.

  • Shainin Red X or like methods and Six Sigma Master Black Belt a plus

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $111,440 – $167,160 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
