Katmai Test Engineer III - REMOTE in ORLANDO, Florida

SUMMARY

Responsible for contributing to the development of an enterprise portal serving 1M users. Understand and support external customers across functional boundaries. The Integration and Test methodology followed focuses equally on the user experience, functionality, and system performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and maintain test system configurations, maintain test data sets, write test plans and procedures ensuring traceability, and perform test executions

  • Create test plans/cases/scenarios/procedures that encompass numerous testing activities such as functional, non-functional, nominal, non-nominal, regression, security, performance, etc.

  • Write manual and automated test cases and develop/execute aggressive and accurate schedules for assigned tasks and make adjustments as needed to maintain forward momentum

  • Produce reports and detailed documentation for all manual and automated testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking

  • Communicate and work effectively with the Test Lead, Test team, Development Lead, and Development team to harmonize the hand-off from Development to Systems test

  • Communicate and work effectively with the Test Lead, and the Test, Development, Development Lead, and Systems Engineering teams to understand project direction including user stories/acceptance criteria, the automation test process and how it functions within the overall SDLC.

  • Research and resolve technical issues independently, anticipate problems and circumvent them by effectively planning, communicating, and suggesting alternative solutions

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ degree or the equivalent in Computer Science or an equivalent field.

  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience.

  • Must complete Salesforce Trailhead training after employment begins.

  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks (U.S. citizenship required).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Experience with all levels of testing – unit, functional, system level.

  • Experience with developing test plans, test cases, and test cases that trace to requirements.

  • Experience with Cloud environments such as AWS and Salesforce CRM a plus.

  • Experience with best practices in configuration management.

  • Experience with issue and project management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Slack, and Teams.

  • Experience with continuous integration methodologies using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, BuildKite, GitLab, etc. a plus.

  • Experience in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar is a plus.

  • Must have excellent communication skills - required to interact with test lead, other test team members, and customers on a daily basis.

  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working both with other team members with various skill sets and also independently.

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and efficient with ability to document all levels of testing from unit to system testing.

  • Experience leading test teams is a plus.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :

  • Pay is $95,000 to $120,000 per year.
