The purpose of the Vice President, Business Development is to retain and foster the growth of a portfolio of RCI affiliated accounts valued in tens of million dollars for the company. In addition, this position will find new business opportunities primarily within existing accounts.

This position’s main role is to build strong relationships with the affiliates at the highest levels to maximize revenue, profitability and affiliate loyalty through RCI’s products and services. This role is responsible for contributing to the achievement of the BD team goals demonstrating mastery in the knowledge of the affiliate’s portfolio, then managing the creation and execution of a strategic partnership.

The Vice President leads a group of business development and account management professionals that execute all aspects of the plan including consulting, new products and services, call center interaction, inventory management, increasing member propensity and ensuring contract compliance in coordination with interdisciplinary groups of the company.

How You'll Shine:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President Travel Membership on the development and maintenance of the North America strategic plan.

  • Guide the delivery of the business plan for the affiliate portfolio under his/her responsibility: contract renewal, strategy for incremental sales, contract fulfillment, member retention and propensity; ensure assigned portfolio goals are met.

  • Consistent and formal communication of progress with executives on the affiliate side and within RCI.

  • Maintains and constantly improves the team’s competitive position by ensuring that sales staff meet or exceed sales goals and by seizing opportunities to gain advantage through innovative programs. Develop team members to be the best in class in all aspects of their role.

  • Find new business opportunities

Travel Requirements:

  • This job requires travel to different locations in North America mainly to affiliated resorts, trade shows and RCI’s offices, typically twice per month. It is expected that this role requires up to 50% of travel/client meeting time.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree – preferable Business, Marketing, Hospitality

  • 10+ years sales experience in hospitality or vertical industry, Timeshare Sales preferred

  • Certified in RCI products and preferably ARDA certified Preferred

  • Project Management

  • Excellent written and oral communications

  • Experienced in presenting to Senior Leadership

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Microsoft office (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • SalesForce

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
