Agway Cape Cod Store Manager in Orleans, Massachusetts

As the Store Manager, you?ll be the driving force behind the success of our vibrant store, where we celebrate everything green and furry. Position Overview: You will oversee the overall direction of the store, ensuring efficient operations and an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Outstanding Customer Service Greet customers warmly, providing assistance with a professional and friendly attitude. Address customer questions regarding product location, pricing, and usage. Gain expertise in our POS system to enhance service. Handle and resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and positively. Manage account balance payments at customer requests. Manage Inventory and Profitability Oversee and generate re-order advice as needed. Adjust inventory levels and ensure stock control using the Compass/Eagle system. Proactively monitor sales trends and recommend changes or additions to inventory. Maintain awareness of purchasing trends and communicate insights with the purchasing team. Track sales, generate reports, and ensure merchandise is effectively displayed to boost sales. Recommend new product lines and monitor their success. Maintain communication with the purchasing office to streamline inventory flow. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changing product lines. Lead and Supervise Store Employees Address employee concerns, goals, and performance. Act as a resource for company policies, ensuring all staff are aligned with procedures. Assign tasks, manage scheduling, and oversee daily workflow. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance documentation to team members. Train staff to prevent loss due to damaged or stolen merchandise. Ensure the store is neat, organized, and adheres to merchandising standards. Review employee timesheets, manage payroll, and handle performance evaluations. Support the Team and Overall Store Operations Open and close registers and the store, ensuring all security measures are in place. Stay responsive to Agway communications through various channels. Foster a positive and energetic work environment. Lead by example in adhering to Agway policies and encouraging a respectful, collaborative culture. Support new employees with technical guidance and training. Provide feedback to the purchasing department and participate in team meetings.
