Position Overview As a Utility Miner, you'll play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, performing a variety of tasks from equipment operation to facility maintenance. Your dedication and adaptability will ensure the smooth functioning of our operations while upholding the highest standards of safety. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify and address safety hazards and equipment issues promptly.
  • Operate all on site heavy equipment with skill and care.
  • Work closely with mine forepersons, engineers, and supervisors to maintain safety, mine upkeep, and daily operations.
  • Embrace learning opportunities and master the operation of different mining machinery!
  • Follow safety regulations closely, including OSHA and MSHA guidelines.

*Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience or relevant training in a similar environment is a plus. Personal Protective Equipment Willingness to wear necessary safety gear as per OSHA and/or MSHA regulations. Language Skills Ability to understand and communicate safety protocols effectively. Mathematical Skills Basic math skills. Reasoning Ability Ability to problem-solve and follow instructions. Physical and Vision Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment* While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet, humid condition airborne particles, and extreme heat or cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require protective equipment.
