Senior Network Security Engineer

At Zoom, we are seeking an experienced Network Security Operations Engineer to be a member of the Infrastructure Services Team.

About the Team

This role will be instrumental in defining Zoom's approach for development and support of our security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day operations service requests, including deployment and management of network and associated systems, security.

• Reviewing network changes and acting as the security owner for change management related to network.

• Addressing network vulnerabilities and remediation, including the assessment and deployment of vendor security updates.

• Supporting security gateways, DLP, and endpoint protection solutions.

• Reviewing new network technologies and providing assessments of applicability for Zoom.

• Partnering with EntSec, IT, and Data Center Engineers for proper security reviews of network appliances and devices.

• Contributing to the development and maturation of team processes and security controls.

• Discovering gaps in processes and technologies to mature the team’s runbooks and operational playbooks.

What we’re looking for

• Experience (2+) with Cloud infrastructure

• Have linux systems engineering experience (2+) and other operating systems

• Experience in troubleshooting complex issues, adept at dissecting and breaking them down into manageable components

• Experience with configuration and automation tools such as Chef, CFENGINE, Ansible, AWX

• Experience in scripting and programming languages like Shell and Python, with expertise in utilizing SCM tools like Git.

• Experience with software delivery pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Gitlab Runners.

• Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible and Git is advantageous

• Able to write shell scripts and higher level language is advantageous (Bash, Python, Go etc.)

• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Operator Framework)

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$94,600.00

Maximum:

$218,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
