Kelly Services Sanitation Operator in Owatonna, Minnesota

Kelly® is hiring a Sanitation Worker to work at a food manufacturing company in Owatonna, MN.

1st shift: $18 /hour – 6 am- 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday

4 day work week!

Temp to hire after 90 days or less!

This role is an integral part of the production team. You will help with maintaining the machines, cleaning machines and sanitizing the work areas.

What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Worker?:

• Perform daily cleaning, maintenance and sanitation on the production floor.

• Cleaning of doors, floors, walls, windows, ceilings, horizontal surfaces, overheads and anything else listed in Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)

• Drain cleaning throughout the plant.

• Routine cleaning of filter socks.

• Tote and cardboard baler operation.

• Operation of trash compactor and floor scrubbing machine.

• Stock and refill supplies

• Cleaning employee break room, and locker room areas as identified on the MSS.

• Stocking supplies throughout the common areas.

• Perform all duties in compliance with FDA, OSHA, state, local regulations, company policies and procedures: including safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Points, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures

• Understand and follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• At least 3 months sanitation experience, preferably in food/beverage industry

• HSD or GED

• Have knowledge of various cleaning agents and/or chemicals and can work with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions.

• Can use various cleaning tools and supplies in a fast-paced environment

• Can read, write and speak English.

• Ability to perform a variety of repetitive manual tasks that require agility and manual dexterity.

• Can operate a scissor/boom lift, and floor scrubber.

• Can work with minimal supervision.

Job requires repeatedly lifting 35-50 lbs., bending, reaching, stooping, walking and moving all shift.
