Wenger Corporation Maintenance Technician in Owatonna, Minnesota

Wenger Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain assigned facilities and manufacturing equipment in the best possible condition in a manner which contributes to a pleasant, safe working environment and helps minimize downtime and injuries. At a minimum, you'll need: High School Diploma or GED Minimum Three (3) years training and experience in machine repair and facilities maintenance. Technical education may count towards experience requirement Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot, repair and adjust complex mechanical equipment. Includes use of tools, machines, and/or vehicles to complete the assigned work Moderate mathematical knowledge, to calculate data or solve practical problems PC knowledge and familiarity with a variety of software programs, with the ability to learn Epicor business software Ability to pass a respirator exam Highly qualified candidates may also possess: Associates Degree or higher, in one or more applicable trades Electronics experience in Programmable Logic Control, wiring diagrams, schematics, controls, sensors Able to trouble shoot and repair complex electronic controls in a variety of CNC equipment Understand and program VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Ability to design and build electronic circuitry for control applications As a Maintenance Technician, a typical day might include: Servicing and repairing small tools, manufacturing production equipment, lift trucks and other material handling equipment Procurement of parts and supplies, making supplier calls and inquiries Inspection, service and repair of all facilities HVAC and other ventilation systems Performing basic carpentry and other facilities maintenance Regular inspections of building alarm systems and fire suppression equipment. Facilitating organization of materials, tools, and other resources Performing weekend security checks of the facility.
