Olmsted Medical Center Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Orthopedics in Owatonna, Minnesota

Description 1.0 FTE. This position will work within our Owatonna Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Must have direct orthopedic experience as an NP/PA. Under the general guidance and direction of the supervising physician, provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. Assists physician with procedures and serves as a liaison between the physician and the patient. Collaborates consistently with the supervising physician, nursing staff, support staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Performs other job duties as assigned. May be required to assist in the operating and procedure rooms. May be required to participate in on-call status. Qualifications: Advanced Practice Registered Nurses - APRNs: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Masters or Doctorate degree Licensed as a registered nurse and as an APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing Certified by a national credentialing board Certified by specialty Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body Previous experience in orthopedic practice preferred Physician Assistants - PAs: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Active or qualified to obtain Minnesota state licensure Previous experience in orthopedic practice preferred Both APC positions will also have: Basic Life Support (Advanced Life Support as required by your area of practice) DEA registration Pass background check Register with the Minnesota Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) At Olmsted Medical Center, we value our clinicians and are committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
