Journeyman Carpenter

Ultimate LLC is immediately hiring Journeyman Carpenters for commercial projects in the Washington, DC area. The pay range is $35-$45 per hour based on experience, first project is prevailing wage . All Carpenters are scheduled 40+ hours a week. We are looking for skilled craftsmen to add to our team of dedicated, safe, productive, and proven craftsmen. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all employees with no week in the hole and optional direct deposit.

Ultimate Job Duties

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood etc.

  • Use hand and electric tools to cut, fabricate, and install framework components

Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixtures

Project Description:

  • We are installing large hollow metal (12ga) wall panels.

  • Moving, placing, welding wall panels together to form holding cell walls.

  • Installing hollow metal door frames

  • Installing hollow metal doors

  • Installing hollow metal security ceiling planks. (2' wide x 8-10' long planks are cut to fit, lifted in place in the ceiling then welded together)

  • Installing floor mounted steel benches

  • Installing door hardware

  • Tasks involve lifting heavy items, cutting metal, drilling metal, grinding metal, welding metal, installing masonry anchors/masonry drilling, metal primer touch up painting,

Ultimate Journeyman Carpenter Requirements

  • 4-5 years of Carpentry experience

  • Appropriate PPE (Hard hat, vest, steel toe boots)

  • Must have basic hand tools to perform trade

  • Ability to perform regular standing, bending and kneeling and lifting of up to 50 lbs without assistance

  • Drug Test Required

  • Background Check Required
