Description We are offering an opportunity for a Cost Accountant to join our team located in Oxnard, California. The role involves tasks related to cost accounting in the industry, including standard costing, analytical skills, and production work order evaluation. The accountant will also support management with monthly production work order processing, cost allocations, inventory reconciliations, and standard costing reports analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day tasks related to cost accounting and standard costing.

• Evaluate production work orders and conduct inventory reconciliations.

• Assist in the implementation of Standard Costing Management Information System.

• Carry out maintenance and analysis of various work order performance and profitability analysis.

• Support management with monthly production work order processing.

• Perform cost allocations and analyze standard costing reports.

• Work proactively and cooperatively with Production Management and staff to implement required solutions.

• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for accounting functions.

• Conduct KPI Reporting and Variance Analysis as part of the role.

• Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment adhering to firm deadlines. Requirements • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Cost Accounting practices and principles

• Able to perform KPI Reporting

• Proficient in Variance Analysis

• Familiarity with Standard Costing methods

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of relevant accounting software

• Experience in a similar role is preferred

• Demonstrated ethical behavior and confidentiality of sensitive information

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
