The Times Leader/Herald Ledger has an opening for a journalist. The Times Leader/Herald Ledger publishes weekly serving the citizens of Lyon & Caldwell counties in Kentucky. We are looking for a community storyteller. The successful applicant will work as a MULTI-PLATFORM JOURNALIST, covering everything from local government, schools and business to the social scene. Your work will appear in print, on web and social media platforms. You’ll report for a multi-faceted newsroom that includes the region’s dominant television station and seven newspapers and multiple digital platforms. You’ll collaborate with award winning journalists and develop skills that will serve you well for a career in journalism. A community journalist is always avidly curious. The successful candidate will report on important issues and interesting people. We’re looking for a good writer with photography skills.
