Job Responsibilities

Our goal is to provide prompt, accurate and personalized service and information to members and potential members in opening new accounts, securing retail loans, processing transactions and cross-selling products and services to meet member financial needs and increase member satisfaction. Perform a variety of sales, service and support activities for members and potential members. Arrive each day full of energy and ready to provide unsurpassed customer service to our members while maintaining our tradition of community trust.

  • Enthusiastically support the Credit Union's focus on member sales and service. Establish and build relationships with members, providing advice and financial expertise. Actively seek out cross-sell opportunities and promote products and services based on member needs.
  • Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, check cashing, money orders, placing holds on drafts, scanning checks, and address changes.
  • Maintain accurate cash counts in accordance with the Credit Union's balancing standards. Count, verify and package cash and coin. Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly, including pre-paid cards.
  • Perform activities related to processing the night deposit, mail items, returned mail, stop payments, safe deposit boxes, certificate of deposit requests, redemption of savings bonds, wire transfers, account maintenance and assist in ATM and CDM replenishment and vault duties.
  • Knowledge of account ownership rights, including but not limited to primary, joint, beneficiary and rep payee accounts.
  • Exercise awareness in to suspicious activity or fraudulent behavior as it relates to cash transactions and overall transaction activity. Complete CTR and MITR log for cash transactions. Report any suspicious activity to Risk Management.
  • Serve members in opening new accounts, updating current accounts and closing accounts including but not limited to specialty and business accounts, checking, savings, CDs, IRAs and HSAs. Prepare required documentation ensuring adherence to legal requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • You provide engaging, personal service to members and truly care about finding real solutions to their financial needs. You are goal-oriented and always learning and improving. Qualifications

  • Financial institution experience in member service, cash handling, new accounts or in a similar service position
  • Previous cash-handling preferred
  • Must be able to obtain Credit Insurance License
  • Ability to operate a computer, telephone and other office equipment
  • Competitive team player, with a positive attitude willing to learn and adapt to change
  • Ability to comm nication, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced member service environment
