SUMMARY: Responsible for local and over-the-road trucking operations. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor drivers to ensure that delivery of fuel is handled effectively and efficiently. Create fuel orders via dispatch system and audit once complete to ensure that the BOL is attached to the order. Monitor customer inventories and create fuel orders based on inventory needs. Respond timely to both Crowley’s internal and external customers. Create end of day reporting. Report to the Dispatch Supervisor any complications with drivers, deliveries, or other operational areas. Complete administrative duties assigned such as yearly training and daily reports. Assist in department events such as Driver Appreciation Week, Truck Driving Rodeo, and others. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of dispatching experience with knowledge of DOT regulations and one year of supervisory experience preferred. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook OTHER/HOURS: Shift is local one week on/one week off, available 24/7 while on shift. Travel to Fairbanks twice per year for one week at a time. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. Will require travel to observe operations dispatching for.
