[Pet Crematory Assistant (full-time)

**[Job Ad Summary

[Passages, Pet Cremation and Grief Center Inc. is hiring a full-time pet crematory assistant to start as soon as possible.

[The person in this position will be the first point of contact for Passages, a pet grief center and crematory. This role assists clients over the phone and in person, schedules appointments, accepts payments, and keeps the front office and crematory areas clean and tidy. This person will also need to have a high comfort level working with deceased pets to include preparing their paws to create clay prints, ink prints, and other keepsakes.

[This is full-time (40 hours/week) position; an ideal candidate will be available to work Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on a regular basis.

[To succeed in this role, the right person will need to be completely dedicated to providing exceptional customer service at all times. Due to the nature of the business, clients are often experiencing difficult emotions, and the person in this position needs to be non-judgmental, compassionate, and understanding while still remaining focused on completing administrative tasks with an eye for accuracy. This person will be working under close direct supervision, but will also be required to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Superior customer service and communication skills (required)
• High level of comfort and ability to work with deceased animals and their owners in a respectful and compassionate manner (required)
• Ability to work the scheduled hours on a regular basis (required)
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic (preferred but not required)
