DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An Aging Care Management Supervisor 2 will advocate, protect, and promote a continuum of care designed to assist older adults in leading independent, meaningful, and dignified lives in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. You will be responsible for overseeing, supervising, and directing the Protective Services unit.  Work includes assigning staff caseloads, work assignments, and providing for the safety of participants and employees. Adhering to all documentation requirements as outlined in the Protective Services regulations will be essential. Other duties to include but not limited to: Verifying Protective Service reports for accuracy and completion. Testifying in court as required. Participating in a rotating on-call system. Acting as a client advocate in all matters. Traveling as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in public or private social work; and a Bachelor's Degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Carbon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe or Schuylkill counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
