Robert Half Financial Specialist/Charge Coordinator in Palo Alto, California

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Specialist/Charge Coordinator in Palo Alto, California. The selected candidate will be involved in a variety of financial responsibilities in our team, including the review and submission of charges for pre and post-transplant recipient/donor services. This role is crucial in the collaboration with Patient Financial Services and Physician Service Office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the review and submission of charges received for pre and post-transplant recipient/donor services

• Submit charges via Epic for non-Medicare pre-transplant charges, Medicare pre-transplant charges, and all donor-related charges pre and post donation

• Review daily charges for the Transplant Service line and release charges for billing and MCR

• Contribute consistently to the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental operations improvement

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with all departments and external agencies

• Work closely with the Financial Manager on all financial matters

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Utilize MS Office and other computer applications related to patient accounts processing

• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Requirements • Hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial specialist or charge coordinator role

• Proficiency in using Epic EMR and MS Office for daily tasks and communication

• Demonstrated experience with OutPatient Medical Records and Medical Billing

• Familiarity with Patient Financial and Patient Financial Services

• Experience in Transplants and Donor Solicitation is preferred

• Understanding of FASB - Financial Acctg Standards Brd

• Basic math skills for accurate calculations and financial reporting

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High level of professionalism and strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.
