SAP Live Streaming Engineer and Event Manager Associate in Palo Alto, California

What you will do

Expectations and Tasks of Job:

The primary responsibility of the role will be to lead or assist in live broadcast production, duties ranging from broadcast event managing and platform operation, technical directing, live streaming, audio engineering, camera operation, floor managing and more. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and consistent performer who can work in a team-oriented environment and manage independent responsibilities. Ability to learn new tools and workflows a must!

Secondary tasks include:

  • Video Productions On-location from within the SAP campus

  • Video Editing

Tech you'll learn:

  • Our in-house built platform is our main delivery channel

  • Our tech stack for streaming includes AWS elemental, Akamai, SRT, HLS

What you bring

Work Experience:

  • 2 Years of experience working hands on in a live production or streaming environment.

  • High level understanding of video production techniques and best practices

  • Working knowledge or better of video editing techniques

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelors or specialized degree in film/video, communications, media production or related discipline.

  • High level written and oral communication skills with a strong alignment to customer service.

  • Hands on experience with live streaming encoder operation

  • Hands on experience with audio production

  • Professional knowledge of video standards and video compression types

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems

  • Creative portfolio with previous video samples and recommendations available

The Broadcast Technologies team within CPIT is seeking a creative candidate to support broadcasting and video production activities from our Palo Alto, California campus. We are responsible for producing and managing high quality live broadcasts via our in-house built platform and other available industry platforms as well as provide video production services globally at SAP. We operate a highly visible and critical communication service regularly featuring SAPs executive board, L1, and other lines of business at SAP.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 73000 - 124100(USD) USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
