We are seeking a Product Manager, Hardware, who is passionate about the consumer health and wellness space. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of bringing consumer hardware products to life along the full lifecycle from inception through launch.

In your role as a Hardware Product Manager at Kohler Ventures you will

  • Lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of the hardware product roadmap

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, hardware, science/research, marketing, business leadership, etc. to define requirements and design hardware features that ensure product market fit

  • Collaborate with internal Engineering and, when appropriate, external hardware partners for quality and timely delivery of new features

  • Be hands-on with generating data insights and qualitative feedback to drive decisions for product innovation

  • Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, and analytics tools

Skills/Requirements

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical background, MBA or other advanced degree or a mix of related educational experience, is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Hardware Product Manager for consumer-focused products, with experience bringing products from inception through launch.

  • Ability to identify and evaluate new technologies with potential novel benefits for target customers.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to influence and work effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, specifically with engineering and technically trained colleagues.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build products and services that customers will love.

  • Knowledge and experience with best practices of agile and scrum product development.

  • An ability to think strategically and creatively.

  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through written and verbal communication.

  • Travel 15% of time both domestic and international.

  • Availability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours is needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.

Preferred

  • Experience from a Health and Wellness or Medical related product or industry.

  • Experience in a consumer startup, incubator, or new product launch environment, taking products from inception to launch and building an effective product and design team.

  • Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The approved base salary range for this position is 103,950 - $138,650. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for the San Francisco Bay area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is 120,582- $180,245 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
