Job Title:Leafer/Coil Assembler - Transformer Manufacturing Department:Manufacturing Work Location:Panama City, FL Reports To:Production Supervisor FLSA Status:Non-Exempt

Shift Schedule: We are hiring for:

  • 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday from 6:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday from 5:00 pm - 3:30 am
  • This position may require extended daily and overtime hours to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Overtime is based on business needs.

Introduction:

Join our team at Central Moloney as a Leafer/Coil Assembler, part of our assembling experts. You'll play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of transformers. Your commitment to safety, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures will ensure the quality and efficiency of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions to assemble core steel based on customer needs and company guidelines.
  • Install various parts onto coils, including steel pieces, padding, clips, and frames.
  • Ensure core and coil units are assembled accurately according to set standards and customer preferences.
  • Keep tools organized for smooth workflow.
  • Inspect transformer cores carefully to ensure they meet quality standards and size requirements.
  • Work well with team members and follow supervisor directions to meet production targets.
  • Always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Additional Skills/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and understand job-related materials and perform basic math.
  • Previous manufacturing and assembly experience preferred.
  • Follow written instructions and supervisor directions accurately.
  • Proficient with manual and powered hand tools.
  • Experience with hoist/crane operation is a plus.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and working conditions.
  • May need certification for operating an industrial lift truck.
  • Committed to upholding CMI's values and philosophy.
  • Background check, Drug and Alcohol Screening required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Lifting:Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Environment:Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
  • Physical Activities:Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
  • PPE:Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
  • Dexterity and Vision:Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
  • Stamina:Stand for long shifts.
  • Skills:Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
  • Safety:Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.

Benefits:

Competitive pay starts at $20 per hour (Subject to increase depending on experience).
