Watershed Security Network Administration Specialist II in Panama City, Florida

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Assists network administration projects as assigned by Network Operations. 

  • Provides guidance and support to the Junior Network Specialists. 

  • Assists with technical and administrative functions of the network to include troubleshooting outages/issues, providing technical solutions, configuration of network infrastructure devices, maintenance of network devices, and configuration of network management tools. 

  • Troubleshoots network issues and resolves network tickets from network users. 

  • Responsible for assisting Senior Network Specialist with all aspects of configuration management including documentation such as drawings, standard operating procedures, RMF artifacts, and literature.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • IAT Level II CWF / IT Level II Privileged Access.

  • 3 years of experience with configuration of Cisco Networking Products to include management devices.

  • Capable of implementation and analysis of DoD IT requirements including STIGs, RMF requirements, and prior work experience with the DoD networks.

  • Preferred experience with Navy RMF and Navy and NAVSEA networks. 

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is preferred.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

    Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:

  • Attending mandatory, annual training sessions

  • Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations

  • Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination

  • Attending recurring team meetings or huddles

  • Assisting in the development of new initiatives
