Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our team on a locum tenens basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients across various settings, either through travel assignments or local placements. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for patients with mental health conditions.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.

Participate in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in psychiatric care.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry.

Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.

Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel for locum assignments or flexibility to work locally as needed.
