SUNDANCE INSTITUTE Festival Manager, Online Platform in PARK CITY, Utah

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Festival Manager, Online Platform is responsible for overseeing text and image content input and maintenance, and project management, to build the online platform hosting the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

 

Working closely under the Digital Marketing Manager, the Festival Manager, Online Platform supports the preparation of the online platform for audiences to experience the Festival digitally, and to obtain key information for the in-person Festival experience.

 

This temporary position works part time (20 hours per week) from Wednesday, September 4, 2024 through Sunday, February 2, 2025 and will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties.

 

Top priorities include but are not limited to...

  • Inputting approved copy and design assets into the Sundance Festival Platform's Content Management System (CMS) and Wordpress for all areas on the Festival Platform; completing intake from initial content handovers, staging checks, and testing backlogs.

  • Managing the input of large amounts of content from internal partners, flagging and resolving questions and follow-up items, overseeing and intaking edits, ensuring final input is accurate and complete before launch.

  • Monitoring all live content for accuracy and correct functionality.

  • Collaborating with various departments who are responsible for updating parts of the Festival Platform, including working to ensure they meet deadlines, flagging and resolving issues, and supporting with questions as needed.

  • Ensuring all scheduled updates are made to the Festival Platform.

  • Creating and managing content plans and schedules.

  • Leading project management for the creation and population of new pages and modules on the Festival Platform, such as our Venues and How to Fest pages, and digital properties, such as the mobile app, creating project timelines, collaborating with colleagues to ensure design and copy are aligned with a project's strategy and goals, coordinating reviews and approvals, and ensuring deadlines are met.

     

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • 3 years of experience producing content for online channels.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.

  • Experience with content management systems, UX, and building new online environments.

  • Strong proofreading abilities with an eye for accuracy.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience with backend website publishing (CMS).

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Utilize prior experience in web production and can quickly learn new systems and processes.

  • Make copy and graphic updates accurately in a busy environment, oftentimes fulfilling a high volume of requests that need to be executed quickly.

  • Are proactive and resourceful, flagging and helping to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
