Job Overview

The Audiologist I provide diagnostic audiological evaluations, interventions and family/caregiver consultation and education in all settings in which audiology services are offered including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - Master's degree in Audiology.

EXPERIENCE - One year experience providing pediatric audiology services in pediatric setting focusing on family centered care, required.

CERTIFICATION(S) - Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Certi

LICENSURE - Current registration and licensure in Audiology by the State of Colorado

Responsibilities

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE Neonate - 30 days to 1 yr Toddlers - >1 yr to 3yrs Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs School age - >5yrs to 13yrs Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. Clinician completes case management activities consistent with department quality assurance and quality improvement standards. Clinician collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services. All interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect. Clinician completes diagnostic evaluations consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in audiology and department quality assurance standards. Clinician incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Clinician demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital. Clinician provides developmentally-appropriate intervention services consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in audiology and department quality assurance standards. Clinician incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
