Please Note: Excellent customer service skills are a must! Full-time and part-time positions with various schedules are available. Full time employees work 30-40 hours per week. Please tell us about your availability! (We can be flexible if you can be consistent.) Ability to work evenings and weekends is preferred. Donation hours at our Retail Centers are Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pay: $15.65 Hr. This position is eligible for Daily Pay! Goodwill of Colorado is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) JOB SUMMARY: The Donation Services Associate I is typically the first point of contact for customers that are dropping off items at retail centers. Donation Services Associates provide excellent and friendly customer service by greeting customer's timely and helping as needed that may include lifting or unloading donations from a customer's vehicle or other area. Associates are expected to handle goods with care, showing respect for items donated. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides excellent Customer service, greeting customers in a timely manner, answering product questions as needed. Assists every customer by unloading donations from vehicle or other area(s). Ensures donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate bins or production areas. Inspects all donations within assigned areas and make decisions on quality to sort appropriately for the sales floor or to be shipped to other locations. Ensures a safe, organized, and clean environment is maintained for both customers and fellow employees within the donations entrance and parking lot areas. Maintains remote donation centers shed and trailer, following appropriate opening and closing procedures when working at a remote site. Orders supplies using provide computer equipment and software programs. Ensures supplies are kept well stocked at remote site(s) as necessary. Tracks and reports donation levels daily to ensure trailers do not become over stocked when working in remote donation center locations. Works with transportation department and dispatchers to schedule trailer pick-ups and drop-offs at remote locations. Follows all retail center policies and procedures. Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers. Cross-train in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: One (1) year of retail experience preferred. Other: Must be able to make decisions by following Good ill standards and guidelines. Must have basic computer skills to be able to log into a computer system to order supplies and to send and receive email. Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures. Must be able to use safety equipment to assist with lifting heavy objects such as a dolly or pallet jack. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
