Dates of Need: 3/1/2025-11/15/2025. This application encompasses general farm and harvest labor on a row crop farm. All other duties assigned. The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. The employer requires three months of general farm labor and irrigation experience.

The anticipated hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of these crops, weather, and the requirement to send crops to customers when needed, it is the prevailing practice to work more or different hours than those listed. A worker may be offered more than the specified hours of work, however the worker will not be required to work for more than the number of hours specified in the job order, or on the workers Sabbath or Federal holidays. Saturday work may be required. Employer-paid drug test is required if a worker has an accident at work. Workday start times vary depending on the weather. depending on the time of year, hours of daylight, and production requirements. Workers must be able to work varying shifts as required by the season and work performed. Workers are notified of any change in the start times. Work may be performed during rain, light snow, cold, freezing temperatures and/or in high humidity and in temperatures over a 100 degrees F. Worker may be required to work in fields when crops are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions.

Duties may include:\ -Digging ditch (must be able to use a shovel continuously for an extended period of time).\ -Digging corrugates (must be able to use a shovel continuously for an extended period of time).\ -Weeding (Must be able to walk long distances and identify weeds and remove them by hand, knife, or hoe).\ -Weed Spraying (Identify weeds and be able to measure chemicals accurately, must be able to use and operate a spray unit, must be able to lift a backpack sprayer full of chemical and pack on your back for long distances, occasional ATV use.)\ -Building cleaning and repair (Occasional shop organization and cleaning, and organize supplies, sweeping, painting, maintenance).\ -Grounds Maintenance (Weed, organize, move objects, trash removal, brush removal, tree trimming).\ -Light Tractor operation and maintenance (Occasional operation of equipment).\ -Truck, tractor and farm machinery operation and maintenance (Identify potential problems and notify management, grease and maintain truck orderly, valid Driver\'s License.)\ -Irrigation management (moving and starting siphon tubes, must be able to bend over and lift and carry 60 lbs.)\ -Pickup operation (must have a valid driver\'s license, change oil, trap gophers, Identify potential problems and notify management).\ -Sprinkler Equipment (must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. over uneven terrain. for multiple hours per day, need to be able to connect and disconnect pipe, repair sprinkler system, flushing pipe, and remove system).\ -Drip Equipment (must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs must be able to work around equipment, installation, removal of equipment and drip tape and repair of drip system).\ -Moving produce for harvest prep (move onions out of corrugates and away from the ends to allow for harvest equipment, gather crop that has been left in the field).

Flood Irrigation:\ 1.Lift gate inside of flooded irrigation ditch/pipe permitting water to flow into bordered section of field.\ 2.Shovel and pack dirt in low spots of embankment of cut trenches in high areas to direct water flow.\ 3.Close gates in ditch/pipe when bordered section is flooded.\ 4.Open gate or connect pipe to underground pipe system that releases water flow into reservoir or ditch.\ 5.Siphon water from flooded reservoir or ditch to channel water into designated areas.\ 6.Shovel or hoe soil to clear ditches/furrows and build mbankments to appropriately channel water.\ 7.Mix and apply proper solutions to fill holes/cracks in pipes, ditches, and spillways, and make minor repairs to metal, concrete, and wooden frameworks in pipe and ditch valves and gates.\ Pivot Irrigation:\ 1.Push on switch that activates circle sprinkler system.\ 2.Turn on/off pivots.\ 3.Learn and master operating a pivot.\ 4.If a pivot is stuck, get it unstuck and in operating condition.\ 5.Roll up/unroll pivot hoses.\ 6.Unplug plugged up nozzles.\ 7.Unplug plugged up hoses.\ 8.Replace broken nozzles and hoses.\ 9.Maintain operation of a pivot at optimum level.\ Drip Irrigation:\ Workers will lay drip tape and remove drip tape in fields during the growing season. They will inspect, monitor, and repair drip system daily.

Onion, onion seed, potato, wheat, seed corn, beans, turnips, sugar beets and Other Row Crop Harvest:\ Will apply techniques as instructed by the employer when carrying out the responsibilities related to harvesting and off-loading and binning onions for storage. Will ride on harvester to sort debris from onions, walk rows and fields to move ends back.\ Sorting, picking up debris, dirt clogs and foreign material from all harvested crops and picking up produce and product from the fields.\ Onion hand harvest (top onions and sack onions).\ Onion bin repair and general inspection and maintenanc
