Assistant Account Manager, Patient Engagement

Job Summary

Our Patient Engagement teams partner with pharmaceutical, biotech companies and their patients to infuse the patient experience into company programming and communications. We support our clients in empowering patients to advocate for their best healthcare, thereby improving patient outcomes and increasing patient satisfaction with their therapy. Our Assistant Account Managers support Account Managers and Patient Relationship Management (PRM) teams on day-to-day business and deliverables related to Patient Engagement Programs. This includes setting-up internal and external meetings for assigned brands, conducting status meetings, internal project workflow and management of Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) processes as needed. They handle supporting the team with the coordination and management of all patient and caregiver travel associated with client specific programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assuming responsibility for overall scope of each project, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets in conjunction with project team

  • Driving and delivering high-quality projects according to client needs and expectations while following all SOPs

  • Anticipating and proactively addressing client needs along with account director to ensure complete client satisfaction

  • Problem solving internal issues or concerns that may arise associated with workflow, budget, timeline, change of scope, etc.

  • Working with clients and providing updates, answers and solutions related to ongoing projects and deliverables

  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of, and compassion for, each client’s patient group and their specific and unique needs

  • Supporting activities related to all programs and projects on assigned client account(s). This includes planning meetings, status meetings, partner agency coordination, workflow and timeline oversight and management of MLR process as needed.

  • Supporting engager travel planning/booking (flights, hotels, ground transportation) as needed

  • Assisting with planning and developing of project ideas, monitor progress, deadlines and troubleshoot issues to ensure client satisfaction and evaluate project performance

  • Partnering with AV vendor(s) for logistics management related to patient webinars and advisory panels

  • Fostering integration, collaboration, and teamwork among team members

  • Supporting the development of program registration sites and managing program registration process

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field

  • Several years of project or account management experience including comprehensive knowledge of patient engagement or advocacy project types

  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities with the ability to delegate and set clear expectations

  • Proficiency in MS365 including Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook, and Team; experience with Cvent and Concur is a plus

  • Proven track record of successfully working with pharma clients or working in a fast-paced agency environment

  • Ability to apply passion and empathy when working with patients and caregivers

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team structure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Adept problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent listening and presentation abilities

  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with Account Managers, PRMs, the Patient Engagers (as needed), and internal cross functional team members

Travel Requirements

  • Ability and desire to travel. This may occasionally include weekend and evening hours.
