Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Accounting role in the Energy/Natural Resources sector, located in Parsippany, New Jersey, United States. The role is essential in providing daily accounting functions for the commercial accounting operations group and plays a pivotal role in the inventory valuation calculation and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date

• Effectively resolve customer inquiries

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions

• Calculate and analyze the financial impact of LIFO Inventory valuation on the Company's results

• Track and examine RINS and AB32 calculations and analysis, ensuring compliance with complex regulations

• Record and analyze derivative calculations involving intricate mark to market accounting

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and borrowing base certificates

• Handle monthly close journal entries and reconciliations related to refined products for a specific refinery

• Prepare, analyze, and review weekly forecasts, communicating expectations for monthly close results to upper management

• Execute ad hoc and strategic analyses/projects as requested by management. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in commercial accounting within the energy/natural resources industry is required.

• Strong proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory.

• Proficiency in using SAP software for financial management and operations.

• Must possess excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of local and international financial regulations and standards.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) would be beneficial.
