Description We are inviting applications for the role of Commercial Accounting in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. The position is located in Parsippany, New Jersey, United States and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Commercial Accounting professional, you will be performing a range of accounting functions and analyses that are integral to the company's decision-making process.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting Last-In, First-Out Inventory (LIFO) valuation calculations and analyzing their financial implications on the company's results.

• Performing calculations and analysis for Renewable Identification Number (RINs) and AB32 regulations, ensuring obligations are calculated correctly.

• Analyzing and recording derivative calculations involving complex mark to market accounting.

• Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and borrowing base certificates prepared by accounting associates.

• Managing all monthly close journal entries and reconciliations related to refined products for a particular refinery.

• Preparing, analyzing, and reviewing weekly forecasts with high exposure to upper management in setting expectations for monthly close results.

• Conducting ad hoc and other strategic analyses/projects at the request of management.

• Utilizing Accounts Payable (AP) and SAP skills for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Demonstrated experience in commercial accounting within the Energy/Natural Resources sector.

• Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP).

• Strong knowledge of commercial accounting principles and standards.

• Proven experience with SAP software.

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

• High level of integrity and professional ethics.

• Commitment to continuous professional development.
