The Investments business is one of the key drivers of revenues and profitability at AIG. Our Investments professionals are responsible for investing the insurance premiums and deposits we collect to generate net investment income that is available to pay claims or benefits and provide returns to shareholders. AIG Investments provides advisory and asset management solutions to AIG, its business units, and third-party clients, globally, maintaining investment platforms across multiple asset classes. These asset classes include investment grade and high yield corporate debt, sovereign and emerging market debt, municipal debt, securitized products, residential and commercial mortgage loans, private placements, real estate, public equities and

private equity. The Investment team is comprised of professionals endeavouring to provide strong returns on our clients’ invested capital. At AIG Investments, we are thought leaders in the global asset management industry with expertise and capital spanning the globe.

How you will create an impact

Provide data quality analysis, consolidation, and high-quality output for the Investments Analytics team. Ensure detailed analysis of associated data is conducted to ensure accuracy and punctuality in the issuance of analytics output. Partner with CIO, Finance, Accounting, Risk, Operations and Technology Teams to drive continued improvements, efficiencies, and an overall high-quality service model. Expected to contribute subject matter expertise to initiatives impacting the function.

  • Manage the day-to-day analytics Investment data quality assurance and quality control needs of the CIO, Global Capital Markets, Investment Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Risk teams.

  • Control security reference data and transaction processing across all functions and asset classes.

  • Set up and lead cross-function new product / new transaction processes.

  • Responsible for supporting end-to-end data quality for AIG’s Investment Analytics organization.

  • Assess, organize, and analyze large amounts of data across multiple sources and databases.

  • Perform quality assurance checks on underlying data. Understand and interpret results from AIG’s global investment analytics results.

  • Interface directly with control partners to evidence and satisfy controls including audit and SOX.

  • Identify key drivers of analytics data quality; develop and report on Key Performance Indicators

  • Create, manage, and maintain dashboards utilized by various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Create and improve existing analytics tools to solve business questions.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of analytics data best practices, technologies, data providers and emerging trends.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 10+ years Analytics data experience in an asset management, trading, or finance context

  • Experience with Aladdin analytics modules

  • Experience with third party risk management, operational risk and model risk management frameworks and standards

  • Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Oracle, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with investment asset classes, market & reference data and asset-side accounting data requirements.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills

  • Detail oriented; clear ability to plan and prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Strong ability to analyze data to detect inconsistencies and errors.

  • Able to perform effectively while dealing with multiple priorities within tight deadlines.

  • Highly motivated, a self-starter as well as a team player, constantly striving to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Ability to provide quick analysis, without sacrificing numerical or aesthetic accuracy.

  • Flexible work approach

  • Degree in IT, MIS, business, finance, or a related discipline desirable

Additional preferred (but not required) skills:

  • Optimization and experience creating efficient data methods.

  • Modeling and predictive analytics experience

  • Familiarity with C# and Python
