The Role

The Senior Paralegal – Marketing/Contracts for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (“WH&R”) is responsible for organizing, reviewing, drafting, and maintaining all materials and agreements relating to company’s B2C and B2B advertising campaigns and performing other duties as assigned. The Senior Paralegal – Marketing/Contracts will report to Senior Counsel – Legal.

What you'll do

  • Marketing responsibilities include, and are not limited to, handling the following for WHR’s 25 hotel brands, the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program, WH&R’s Strategic Sourcing group, WH&R’s Global Sales Organization (“GSO”) and WHR’s Public Relations group:

  • Review, draft, edit all materials for discount and bonus point sales/limited time offers (includes, without limitation, review of emails, websites, direct-mail, print advertising, on-property materials, videos, and banner ads);

  • Create, manage and maintain database of all terms and conditions for such promotions, as well as the final materials for each;

  • Serve as legal point person for the Wyndham Rewards partnership team; create, manage and maintain database of all terms and conditions for partner promotions and projects, as well as the final materials for each;

  • Serve as legal point person for all GSO/Wyndham Business promotions and projects (responsibilities will include, without limitation, review of all GSO advertising and promotional materials);

  • Assist with commercial contracts such as sponsorship agreements, agency agreements, personal appearance/talent agreements, consultant agreements, master services agreements, indemnification agreements, participation agreements, releases, insertion orders, and statements of work, amendments, and termination notices for such agreements;

  • Draft sweepstakes and contest rules (full and abbreviated versions) and review all related marketing/creative materials;

  • Review other marketing-related materials, such as Wyndham Rewards member communications and surveys;

  • Review press releases;

  • Review marketing creative for catalogues, emails, and website provided by strategic sourcing vendors;

  • Review WHR global conference communications/marketing;

  • Maintain a database of vendor contracts and serve as a resource for the business teams; and

  • Other work as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree;

  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing/ advertising experience in law firm or corporate law department;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;

  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills;

  • Ability to think strategically, critically and creatively and to analyze details for achieving objectives;

  • Ability to understand and explain risk in various scenarios;

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task on a large number of complex issues;

  • Excellent computer skills;

  • Attention to detail;

  • Flexibility for overtime when needed; and

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with client, including senior executives.
