What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: We are seeking a Project Engineer for project support in managing project performance with respect to cost, schedule and Client satisfaction in Pasadena, TX.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Lead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resources in West Gulf Coast Region
Develop estimates, funding request documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant executed projects
Ensure all projects receive adequate hazard and safety reviews and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner
Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designs
Provide field supervision / support during project execution
Manage Project Safety
Maintain projects on budget and schedule
Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer
Gain a basic understanding of the operating plant environment, process and equipment
Understand quality standards as outlined by client site.
Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Registration: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.
Experience: Requires 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering and project management.
Capital Project, Plant Operations or Maintenance experience
Strong organizational, planning and communication skills
Strong leadership abilities
Self-motivated and willingness to learn
High ethical standards
Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines.
Familiarity with the HAZOP work process
Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy
Makes good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
Works professionally and harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants and business area persons
Utilizes positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
This position requires up to 30% domestic travel.
