Construction Materials Testing Technician Trainee

Intermountain Materials Testing (IMT) is a geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing and inspection firm serving clients throughout south-central Washington and Northern Oregon from our office in Pasco. We are currently accepting applicants for the position of construction materials testing technician trainee. The position involves on the job training performing tests on concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregates, and other materials in the test laboratory and on construction job sites. Other duties will include general labor, maintenance, and routine cleanup.

Working hours are generally 7:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday but change frequently. Overtime on short notice occurs frequently. Occasional weekend work is required.

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in mathematics at the algebra level and English communication skills are a must. Physical ability to regularly lift heavy objects and work extended hours on your feet in inclement weather conditions is required. A clean driving record and valid state driver's license are required.

No experience is required. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the engineering/inspection field.
