SAIC PMA 234 Systems Engineer Principal in PATUXENT RIVER, Maryland

SAIC is searching for a Next Generation Jammer ( NGJ (https://www.navair.navy.mil/product/Next-Generation-Jammer) ) Integration Systems Engineer to support our efforts in PMA-234.

Must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance. Hybrid work environment based at NAS Patuxent River, MD. CONUS travel up to six (6) times per year required.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, managing, coordinating, and executing integration engineering tasks as well as implementing policies and procedures to ensure safety, readiness, and airworthiness of the NGJ capability.

  • Leading and participating in ad-hoc action items and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) to address emergent fleet technical issues, balancing technical rigor, safety, and airworthiness while minimizing adverse fleet operational impact.

  • Providing integration engineering expertise and acting as the liaison between PMA-234 NGJ engineering and PMA-265 Growler Systems engineering teams.

  • Providing technical assessments to ensure all technical requirements are addressed in development, production, and sustainment contracts and are appropriately verified at acceptance.

  • Implementing systems engineering processes that support development, production, and sustainment activities.

  • Implementing use of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and balancing that with ongoing efforts for development and sustainment of advanced operational capabilities.

  • Participate in the NAVAIR Engineering Change Proposal efforts.

  • Attending and conducting program SETR events.

  • Attend and participate in programmatic risk management meetings.

  • Review and provide feedback on Technical Data Packages and Technical Directive data.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree and 10+ year of relevant experience; Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • DoD Acquisitions Experience

  • Must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of DAU ACQ 101 or ACQ 1010

  • System Engineering – New System / Software Integration
