SMX is seeking a Windows Application System Administrator . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, documenting, and installing innovative application solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization and its clients. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Application Installation and Management
Install, manage, and patch software applications such as Jira, BitBucket, Confluence/Atlassian, TWC, Artifactory, Jenkins, Mailman, Sonarqube, VoIP, ACAS, and others.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
Work closely with software developers, system architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall system architecture and strategic goals.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to gather insights, share progress, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Provide hands-on support during the implementation phase to ensure successful deployment of applications.
Required Skills:
Ensure compliance with DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent).
Maintain the ability to work independently and collaboratively within Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments.
Possess and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance to start; applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Upgrade to Top Secret clearance required.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with communicating technical concepts with stakeholders
Experience with Callware, Netplus, and Cisco WAP’s.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organizational and communication skills.
Testing and troubleshooting of application solutions, system architecture.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$73,000—$121,600 USD
