We are on the lookout for a passionate and talented Product Development Scientist to help us elevate this legacy. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of the next generation of Silwet™ and AgroSpred™ products. As part of our dynamic innovation team, you will leverage your expertise in synthetic chemistry, polymers, surface science, and formulations to create and commercialize groundbreaking, market-driven technologies.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including Process Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Stewardship—you will ensure the seamless launch of new products that make a real difference in the agricultural industry. Responsibilities Include:
Lead, plan and execute product development projects, from definition of customer needs through assistance with the scale-up, registration and commercialization.
Synthesize, formulate and test new products, with focus on surfactants and functional polymers for agricultural applications.
Independently design and carry out experiments, including DOEs.
Collaborate with global product and application development teams as well as with marketing and business functions to ensure that projects are aligned globally and meet customer and market needs.
Clearly communicate results of program activities through written reports and presentations including internal and external conferences and publications.
Run chemical analysis and physical characterization in collaboration with the analytical team.
Conduct performance testing in collaboration with application development engineers, helping to advance the understanding of structure-property relationships
Follow the marketing and technology trends in sustainability, proposing and executing the synthesis of more sustainable materials, including naturally derived products
Conduct IP and literature reviews and write invention disclosures.
Organize and share laboratory research data using Microsoft 365 and Electronic Lab Notebooks

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, twist, turn, lift, and move about the facility. Walking, walking on irregular surfaces, and balancing will be required . Reaching, feeling, finger movement, grasping, hearing, sight, and the ability to speak clearly will be required . Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. The ability to wear personal protective equipment, and the ability to pass a fit test and wear a respirator is required for most positions.

Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science with a minimum of Intern/Co-Op industry experience
Demonstrated industrial or academic experience in organic or polymer synthesis, chemical analysis, and physical property. characterization.\Demonstrated understanding of structure – property relationship and the ability to design new molecular structures based on performance needs.
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
Results oriented self-motivated individual with high level of technical curiosity.
Strong interpersonal skills to encourage teamwork and foster culture of excellence.
Proven record of safe laboratory operations, design of experiments, and statistical analysis.
The following are preferred for this role
5+ years of industrial experience in the synthesis of surfactants or functional polymers.
Familiar with surface chemistry and rheology science.
Working knowledge of agricultural formulations and spray adjuvants.

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $108,500 - $158,950
The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
