SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to facilitate the design and manufacturing of our products. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working closely with the General Manager to create industry-relevant products that meet company specifications. You will also be required to review and verify the accuracy of engineering documentation for production. To ensure success as a Manufacturing Engineer, you should have excellent analytical and design skills, good working knowledge of design software, and advanced troubleshooting skills. A top-notch Manufacturing Engineer should be able to transform ideas into high-end products that perfectly meet the needs of our customers.

Key Performance Indicators and Core Functions

• Responsible for creating, and reviewing, documenting, developing process routers and specifications used to manufacture, assemble, and test/inspect Company products.

• Review manufacturing processes and work instructions for complex parts (processes to successfully transition of customer products to production)

• Review travelers, work instructions and BOMs for customer contracts.

• Review work instructions, process maps, material specifications, customer drawings, and project flows.

• Work on continuous improvements / special projects to improve efficiency for building of cable assemblies.

• Utilize MRP/ERP software for bill of material and routing instructions to support production.

• Analyzing market and industry product trends.

• Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the production and manufacturing team members

• Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors

• Enforces DCX-CHOL Enterprises policies and safety practices.

• Participates in training, safety, and quality programs.

• Ability to handle multiple projects, to meet deadlines and flexibility to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Aerospace or Defense Manufacturing engineering and previous Project Management experience.

• Industrial process manufacturing or Electrical AA degree minimum or equivalent experience.

• Proficient with Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint

• Experience with electronic assembly desirable.

• Familiarity with specification and industry standards IPC-620, IPC-610, J-STD-001D, ISO9001.

• Familiar with AS9000 / ISO Systems or Gvmt contracts

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant prior job experience. Previous experience and working as a Product Engineer is a plus.

• Strong background in managing and planning multiple projects and people simultaneously within given deadlines.

• Advanced analytical and design skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, direct and clear communicator

• Ability to visualize theoretical models and design ideas.

• Good project management skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment

• Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience

• Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision (self-starter) hands on, work individually or as part of a team

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) Techniques
