Installation Project Manager

Job Information:

  • Direct hire

  • Dayshift: expect to start not later then 6:00 AM.

  • Location: Shop is based in Pennsauken, NJ and all of our job sites are within 30 miles radius of Center City, Philadelphia. Company truck or van issued after probationary period.

  • Benefits from day 1, medical, vision, dental, 401K, paid time off, sick time, etc.

  • Paying $65,000 - $70,000 annually. Excellent benefits.

    What we do:

    For 100+ years, our client has providing full service steel fabrication and installation for industrial, manufacturing, institutional and food processing industries. They are contractors for some of the biggest names in Philadelphia/Camden area and provide large and small construction rehabilitation and related project management. What does that mean? We install steel. Examples: Steel manufacturing tanks, Undercarriage, support structures, steps, catwalks & gangways & railings (lots of these systems), etc. We install manufacturing equipment, retrofit existing, demo as needed, etc. Many many many different steel installation projects, small and large.

    Installation Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages multiple construction projects to completion on time and within budget. Sells future projects when appropriate.

  • Continuously scheduling and visiting clients worksites, works closely with client stakeholders on project scope, project needs and project updates.

  • Engages each project daily and reviews for updates, pinch-points or downstream issues that may arise. Forecasts and plans.

  • Provides client updates regularly, professionally and optimistically

  • Review construction drawings and take-off specific components for pricing

  • Drafts customer Scopes of Work by utilizing accurate field measurements.

  • Create hand sketches as required to depict scope of work for projects.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage subcontractors as applicable.

  • Coordinate schedule with client, shop and install crews.

  • Participate in internal Sales and Scheduling meetings and helps provide accurate price quotes.

  • Reviews all safety requirements and serves as Subject Matter Expert for Safety on projects

  • Point of contact for Field Superintendent and Install Crews

  • Verify proper completion of job.

  • Review invoicing for final billing (T&M work orders & quoted jobs).

  • Maintain and utilize computerized software (Sage 100) for project management.

  • Attend client meetings and/or events when appropriate and engages stakeholders as needed.

    Installation Project Manager Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, post high school education is highly preferred such as a vocational certification, Journeyman-level apprenticeship, or an Associate of Science in construction, engineering or related industrial maintenance

  • At least two (2) years of prior professional experience in a similarly related Project Management position, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Journeyman Millwright, Journeyman Boilermaker, etc. is preferred. A entry-level Engineer with a 4-year bachelor degree may be considered in lieu of direct work experience.

  • Must have direct experience overseeing the safety and work environment of construction projects or a bachelor's degree in engineering.

  • Ability to read and interrupt blueprints, draws, diagrams, sketches, etc. including ability to draft basic drawings and sketches

  • Strong people skills, including the ability to lead and manage teams of professionals Industrial Maintenance Mechanics, the ability to engage clients, present professionally at meetings and events and the ability to read, write and speak fluent English.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of New Jersey or Pennsylvania, including an acceptable driving records as determined by management.
