THE POSITION

A Management Technician is needed to provide vital administrative support within the Coverage Division to ensure effective and efficient operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Management Technician, you will be responsible for r eviewing and preparing Remittance Advice Form e-216 Excel spreadsheet submissions received by primary insurers, and returning any submissions that do not conform to business standards. Accepted submissions will be entered into the EMCEE database system and prepared for processing. You will review and process data received from other state agencies to ensure the timely updating of health care provider records in the EMCEE database. You will also maintain various lists and spreadsheets of insurer contacts and subscribers, as well as generate and maintain specialized reports on a routine basis.

This professional s erves as the first point of contact for incoming calls and voicemails intended for the Coverage Unit, and routes calls and voicemails as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to provide assistance to Medical Malpractice Coverage Specialists processing submissions by performing basic functions such as verifying retro dates, processing basic transactions, and reconciling e-216 submissions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, however you will be required to report to the office 1 day per month, with additional in-office days as needed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
