THE POSITION

Are you ready to put your leadership skills to good use and coordinate the activities of a county wide roadway program? If so, PennDOT has just the position for you! Jefferson County Maintenance Organization is seeking a Roadway Programs Coordinator to organize and direct various administrative and technical support functions essential to the operation of the Jefferson County Maintenance Organization. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the county budget and making recommendations for adjustments based on budgetary considerations. Other responsibilities include reviewing subordinate reports, approving payrolls, and adjusting work schedules based on reports and analyses. You will also supervise the Purchasing Agent, Stock Clerk, and Roadway Programs Technicians to ensure efficient county operations and adherence to County Maintenance Measurement Tools.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Punxsutawney.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Specialist or Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor;or

  • Three years of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and an associate's degree in a field of business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology or closely related program;or

  • One year of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or civil engineering related discipline;or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
