Aerotek Electrical Maintenance Technician in Pensacola, Florida

Working with an Electric Motor Manufacturing company in the Pensacola area that is seeking qualified Industrial Maintenance Electricians!!!

Job Description

As an Industrial Technician, your main role involves receiving work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, routine repairs, calibrations, and/or preventative maintenance. You will interpret drawings/sketches to determine the best work procedures and tools needed to troubleshoot/repair problems. Your tasks include repairing, rebuilding, and testing electrical components to ensure equipment is up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible. You will spend the majority of your time maintaining existing equipment (80%) and upgrading equipment (20%).

Skills:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an Industrial Plant/Manufacturing Environment

  • Work with various equipment (AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, inverters and motor drives)

  • Work with conduit and fittings, wire and cable, and hardware installation

  • Print Reading, Drawing Interpretation, Wiring Diagrams, and Schematics

  • Proper Use of Tools and Measuring Devices and Safe Work Mentality

  • Experience with AC/DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, inventors/ motor drives, conduit and fittings

  • Capable of troubleshooting motor drives

  • Diagnoses problems and/or failures and repairs a variety of equipment (Presses, machines, etc.)

  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of required tools and equipment

  • Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls

  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for the purpose of troubleshooting and repair

Schedule: First shift starting at 7am

Pay: 18 to 23/hr
