Navy Federal Credit Union Manager II, Issues Management in Pensacola, Florida
Overview
The Manager II – ETS Issues Management provides leadership to leaders and/or professionals and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams as related to the remediation of Risk Issues. Decisions are guided by division objectives. The Leadership impacts the business results of ETS’ Risk Remediation function by setting priorities, allocating resources, and developing policies and plans. The Manager II – ETS Issues Management is responsible for oversight of remediation activities involving development, implementation, and execution of remediation plans to reduce risk to Navy Federal and increase our security posture.
Responsibilities
Develop and define clear core work definitions, process flows and operating models; demonstrate the complete life cycle and capabilities of the Service.
Demonstrate leadership and oversight of remediation life cycles and adherence to risk framework.
Responsible for evaluating and developing risk remediation policies and procedures, safeguarding all information and systems, and identifying new areas of risk.
Partner with technology and process owners to deliver and execute remediation plans for assessed ETS Risk Issues.
Leverage standard templates, tools, and organizational strategy to define ETS services and ensure practices and processes are standardized and repeatable.
Guide and analyze benchmarking, trend analysis and other input to drive continuous improvement and elevate service performance.
Accountable for the IT Risk Remediation focus specializing in identifying, monitoring, and managing risks associated with the use, ownership, operation, involvement, influence, and development / adoption of technology within an enterprise.
Partner closely with individual business units, other control functions, and technology groups in identifying / mitigating areas of risk that may impact the organization.
Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.).
Build organizational capability by strengthening and adding new capabilities, technical skills, and competencies, and eliminates low-value activity with view to long range goals.
Ensure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union ETS standards and best practices.
Perform supervisory/managerial duties.
o Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees.
o Establish performance goals and priorities.
o Prepare, conduct, and review performance appraisals.
o Develop, mentor and counsel staff.
o Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan (AFP).
o Ensure section/branch goals and objectives align with division/department strategy.
o Ensure efficiency of operations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Significant experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff.
Significant experience in IT resource allocation and management.
Significant developing strategic plans and roadmaps for service improvement.
Significant experience with process improvements and process mapping.
Significant experience communicating with staff, leaders, and stakeholders at all levels.
Experience supporting audit and risk assessments for IT processes and applications.
Experience in risk, vulnerability, and exceptions management including addressing issues and escalations.
Experience presenting complex findings, proposals, and solutions to senior department leadership to gain buy-in and support.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Effective exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions.
Effective skill relationship building, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Effective in producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives.
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills.
Experience in project leadership and execution, including initiatives with technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and external partner team members.
Experience in technology operations, technology risk and information security.
Desired Qualifications
Banking/financial industry standards and practices.
Knowledge of NFCU products, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
Certification in appropriate area: PMP, ITIL, SAFe5, etc.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
