Naval Intelligence Command Intelligence Specialist in Pentagon, Virginia
Summary You will serve as the Senior Intelligence Specialist in the Naval Intelligence Activity, Executive Intelligence Support Branch (NIA-EIS) responsible for providing substantive intelligence to Navy leadership regarding adversarial cyber activities, to include: current operations, long term strategies, plans, acquisitions, and capabilities. This position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Responsibilities You will serve as the subject matter expert for NIA on all cyber analysis issues, advises senior departmental and service leadership of ongoing intelligence community analytic efforts that could affect Navy staff plans and programs. You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of multiple ongoing senior level projects, providing technical leadership and advice for these projects to include developments, analytic performance predictions and risk evaluations. You will advise top-level command officials on cyber intelligence matters and serve as Naval Intelligence Activity’s (NIAs) senior cyber expert on boards, panels, and committees You will manage the customer support process for analytical tasking, representing NAVINTEL equities, and satisfying OPNAV, SECNAV and Congressional customer requirements. You will serve as lead cyber analyst as required and may direct/task the daily work of junior analysts and project leaders internal or external to the Navy providing information, insight, and guidance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Generating and disseminating insights to Navy leadership and operational decision makers about adversarial cyber capabilities and vulnerabilities in the warfighting environment; 2) Coordinating executive intelligence support for the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations staffs to determine acceptable courses of action; 3) Reviewing, assessing and determining appropriate OPNAV dissemination for substantive cyber intelligence detailing scientific, technical, strategic, and operational cyber intelligence analysis to support naval and joint acquisition processes and current and future naval plans and operations. 4) Initiating and fostering relationships with the IC and other departmental organizations to advance missions requirements for naval intelligence.
