Description Job Summary: Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced operations leader to serve as our Plant Manager in our Natural Cheese and Whey manufacturing facility in Perham, MN. The Plant Manager is responsible for all manufacturing, quality, maintenance, inventory and human capital in the facility. Duties and Responsibilities: Overall responsible for all plant operations including coordination between departments to ensure that all production, maintenance, safety, quality and sanitation goals are met. Ensure the highest standards of quality, product safety and employee safety are maintained at all times in the facility. Maintain an effective network of communication to ensure all departments are kept current with strategic and operational goals for the company. Act as a conduit to provide feedback to corporate on changes of processes and procedures and how they impact the products and employees on the front lines. Select, mentor and motivate departmental leaders within the plant. Coordinate, attend and maintain effective and efficient production, safety, quality, maintenance and sanitation meetings as required to meet overall business goals. Work with departmental leaders to influence and lead change that will improve individual, team and business performance. Partner with Human Resources on talent management, performance reviews and talent acquisition. Provides coaching to plant maintenance, quality, safety, logistics, sanitation and production team leaders. Build relationships of trust and has a clear point of view informed by own insights, business acumen, best practices, and industry trends. Overall responsible for fiscal operations of the plant including full ownership of the P&L. Maintain the facility in an audit ready state for customers or regulatory agencies. Encourage a continuous learning environment for departmental leaders by staying current with the latest technologies and processes in the industry. Skills and Qualifications: Experience in Food Processing Industry. Natural Cheese and Whey manufacturing experience is required. Must have at least 10 years of manufacturing experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity and must possess significant knowledge of manufacturing processes. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Operations Management. Be proficient in operational finances, capital expenditures and industry standards. Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of employees and management. Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change. Strong project management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional presentation skills Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines Ability to work independently Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in Food Processing Industry.
