Help us build a legacy that stands the test of time. Job Title: Estimator Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our Traffic Control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for road construction industry projects, ensuring that we remain competitive while maintaining high standards of quality and service. This role involves collaborating with other team members, customers, and subcontractors to deliver precise proposals that align with project specifications and timelines. The position will be fully on-site in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Major Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Conduct site and branch visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to refine estimates and ensure feasibility. Identify and source subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining quotes and negotiating pricing. Maintain a database of unit costs and historical data to improve estimation accuracy. Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Assist in preparing and submitting proposals to clients. Monitor project budgets and provide updates as needed throughout the project lifecycle. Stay current on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance estimating practices. Coordinated scheduling with internal/external customers and supervisors. Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an estimator in the road construction industry. Strong understanding of road construction materials, methods, and equipment. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Personal Attributes: Professional demeanor.
