Job Description Summary

The Global Services Training GM plays a key leadership role in ensuring field engineers, biomedical engineers, and customers are equipped to safely and confidently service healthcare equipment in the field.

From content development and deploying new technologies for knowledge transfer to managing the day-to-day of our Training Centers globally, this executive will define strategies and implement solutions to transform how we deliver training, using Lean as the backbone for this transformation to deliver improved and cost-effective training.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive global technical training content development, curation and delivery, incorporating lean transformation to student learning pathway design, focused on course quality, consistency, channel flexibility, and optimized knowledge transfer.

  • Collaborate with segment and platform leadership, understanding global training content needs, scope, and competitive landscape, ensuring best practices for training development are identified and adopted, and field/customer feedback is incorporated into course improvements. Incorporate advanced training technology and design standards into course content and labs.

  • Define course schedule and catalog, including regional and distributed options, for ongoing technical training, NPI readiness, customer training growth, and other dynamic needs. Manage tuition rates and liquidation volume for various course delivery channels to offset costs incurred.

  • Drive Global Service training delivery, including student registration, cancellation management, and course completion/certification; Lead global adjunct and full-time instructor and mentor qualification, onboarding, and certification for instruction readiness.

  • Manage Training Center daily operations and budget, allocating capital and resources to keep and improve our training facilities.

  • Maximize efficient use of training resources at global training facilities and remote locations through optimized fill rates, backlog reduction, and timely registrations. Manages technical equipment investments, localization needs, and specialization at each global training location.

  • Create customer leadership education capability through flagship executive symposiums and leadership academies globally. Engage with regions to understand market needs and deliver scalable content to support.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

  • 10+ years progressive leadership experience in technical training, region service delivery, product development or related field

  • Strong leadership skills to influence cross functional and global teams and drive culture change

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Strong program execution skills

  • Strong strategic mind and clear thinker

Desired Characteristics

  • 15+ years experience in Healthcare service, technical training or related field

  • Deep expertise and personal credibility in training technology

  • Training industry acumen

  • Experienced team leadership for horizonal teams

  • Ability to work and travel globally
