American Transmission Company Outage Coordinator in Pewaukee, Wisconsin

Summary of Responsibilities:

Do you like to see the big picture in support of day to day real time decisions? We’re looking for an Outage Coordinator who will be responsible for reliable and secure transmission system operation by scheduling & coordinating safe switching of planned transmission equipment outages.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll use your 3 years’ experience in interconnected electrical system operations to perform, analyze, and interpret system studies (including contingency analysis and powerflows) for planned outage conditions and as necessary, develop actions plans from these studies to support development of Operating Guides and Operator Instructions. You’ll also create written, peer-reviewed switching instructions to allow switching to be performed in a safe and secure manner, coordinate with interconnected entities performing work that may impact the transmission system (e.g., generator or relay testing) and communicate and coordinate with local distribution companies when load is at risk during planned outage activities.
