General Job Description: This is specialized property management and business development work, directing the negotiation, preparation and processing, implementation and enforcement of leases, licenses, contracts, and specifications for use of facilities and services, property valuation and rental, awarding of concessions, and other revenue generating programs and related support services at the City's municipal airports. Work involves analysis of existing agreements and evaluation of alternative revenue generation programs. Employees in this class may have land banking responsibility and direct land use feasibility studies to acquire and reserve new lands for expanding and improving airport facilities; participate in research and evaluation of economic factors affecting airport revenue generating programs and preparation of revenue projections for proposed programs.

The Requirements are as follows:

1. EDUCATION: Completion of a bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. AND

2. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of commercial, industrial or airport property management experience. AND

3. SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE: Three years of advanced performance level or four years of full performance level experience in airport property management which has included negotiating leases, purchases and selling of airport properties or for a large facility or institution with a real estate portfolio of at least one million square feet.

*NOTE: *Additional experience or industry relevant certification may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

NOTE: Completion of a master's degree in business administration, real estate development, economics, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of general experience.  

*NOTE: *Completion of the examination for Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) may substitute for one year of specific experience
