Job Title:  Associate Material Planner Department:  Material Planning Reports to:  Supervisor, Material Planning Direct Reports:  0 Location(s):  AWPC


  1.  Summary of Position:  (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function) Responsible for demand management through MRP and Material Master data.  Responsible for the overall management and execution of the Purchase Requisition lifecycle.  Also responsible for setting up new parts in SAP material master to ensure accurate MRP execution inside of SAP.  The Material Planner supports configuration feasibility evaluations related to material availability, and communicates to the appropriate stakeholders as required.  This role also interfaces with Program Management and Production Engineering regarding the configuration Chart as it relates to inputs and verifications of demand.  The Material Planner will be the focal point for Change Management and New Part Introduction at a strategic level. Effective Planning for component, configuration, and end-of-life that optimizes inventory and Production requirements. Day to day interaction with Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure delivery of parts supports the Production Line.

Maintain material master based on part criteria to ensure lead time and stock levels are set within company guidelines

New PN Codification &  MRP Code allocation to correct Commodity & Line

Analysis of new or change in configurations on an aircraft

Management of Changes in configuration, parts, End of Life to avoid negative Impact to inventory and production

Qualifications for Position: A. Education BS or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain Management
